What type of designs can I expect?

At 'holiday' henna appointments you can expect "medium heavy" coverage designs - that is the hand up to the wrist, with a mix of heavier + intricate lines, and some empty space. I will be doing various styles (see photos above for examples). I encourage clients to give me a general idea of what they like and let me create something unique for them. 
 
Please note that due to time constraints,I cannot provide 'bridal-like' full designs.  Also, this type of appt. does not allow me to time to copy out a design *exactly.* You can see many examples of my work on this website and on my social media pages. All photos here and on my socials depict designs I have personally applied over the last 18+ years of doing henna.

What type of henna do you use?

At Henna Craze, we only use natural henna which is personally mixed and packaged by Sumeyya. Natural henna stains best when kept on for 6-8 hours and kept away from water for as long as possible (the longer you avoid water on your henna'd skin, the darker the final color). Immediately after paste removal, your henna will be orange -- this is normal for natural henna. It will continue to darken over 2 days to a deep brown tone. You will receive detailed henna aftercare info at your appointment.

Where will my appointment be?

'Holiday' henna sessions are only offerred at our location in Bolingbrook, IL 60490. Once you book your appointment you will get an automatic confirmation email with our address + directions. Please note that we cannot accommodate walk-ins for holiday henna - by appointment only.

Question 4

When should I book my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Our scheduler (SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE) will be open for: 
Eid henna bookings starting the first week of Ramadan;
Karwa Chauth henna bookings starting the week before;
Diwali henna bookings starting the week before.

In past years, we do get fully booked quite fast, so we suggest booking your appointment as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment. Once all appointments are full for that day, no more time slots will show as open. 
 
As far as when is the best day prior to your holiday to book your henna apppointment  - you can book your henna appointment up to 3 days before, though of course 2 days or 1 day before is fine too (if booking the day before you will have a red-orange stain versus deep brown stain as natural henna requires 2 days for the color to come out). Your henna stain will not begin to fade until 5 or 6 days after your appointment.

How do I book?

Scroll all the way to the bottom of this page and you will see our booking page - choose the session you'd like to book, select any 'Add-Ons' if you wish, and you will see our available dates+times for 'Holiday' henna sessions. Please note that a $20 deposit is required to book your henna session. We cannot hold a date or time for you without a deposit. Your balance is due in person, on day of your appointment. 
 
This deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation, however you can always move it to another date and apply it towards an individual appointment at another time in the year.

Question 6

I'd like to bring my kid - can they get henna too?

Kids 5-9 are $20 for 2 sides, 10 and over are same as the adult rates.  Please make sure to 'Add-On' kids appointments when you book so we can schedule the right amount of time for them!

COVID POLICY - PLEASE READ!

To make sure we are keeping ourselves and our clients safe, please make sure to adhere to the following: 
 
- WEAR A MASK (cover your nose and mouth fully) for the duration of your appointment
- Do not bring additional people/kids or anyone else not getting their henna done to your appointment. 
- We will wipe down all surfaces between clients and have hand sanitizer handy to use prior to beginning. 
- If you or anyone in your home shows signs of sickness the week before your appointment, please CANCEL your session!
